Scarlett is a UK-registered paediatric nurse with over a decade of experience in hospital, surgical and humanitarian settings and has held leadership roles in both the NHS and with Médecins Sans Frontières.
Scarlett attained her LLB in Law at Northumbria University, followed by a BSc (Hons) in Child Nursing at Brighton University.
She worked at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, delivering peri-operative care across multiple paediatric surgical specialties, including complex craniofacial and plastics teams, and recovery skills including advanced airway management. She was also a proud member of the Clinical Ethics Committee.
Scarlett earned her Professional Diploma in Tropical Nursing at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, a highlight of her professional journey. Scarlett has twice acted as a Humanitarian Nurse for Médecins Sans Frontières: in Nigeria at the Noma Children’s Hospital in Sokoto and as a Nurse Activities Manager for the first UK project during the COVID-19 emergency response.
At the Princess Elizabeth Hospital in Guernsey, she was the paediatric lead. As well as working in theatres, she supported the paediatric ward, gaining extensive experience with the CAMHS team and supporting adolescent mental health. Scarlett is currently certified in European Paediatric Advanced Life Support (EPALS) and Adult, Child & Infant Basic Life Support.
In 2025, Scarlett became a Certified Yoga4Health Teacher, combining her passions for preventative and holistic wellbeing. In addition to her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, she is accredited by the Personalised Care Institute to advance health equity through innovative, evidence-based yoga practice.
Based in Luzern, Scarlett currently works as a substitute for the International School of Zug & Luzern team and teaches community yoga at The Lili Centre. When she is not working, you can find her in the mountains, by the sea, or with friends and family celebrating life. Scarlett truly believes that health encompasses access to education, community connection, personal well-being, and resilience—the ability to thrive, not merely an absence of illness.
