Empower yourself with life-saving skills that could make all the difference. This course is ideal for parents and carers of children.

During this hands-on training, we will cover:

  • How to give Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to babies, including practise on realistic manikins.
  • The causes of unconsciousness in babies and how to put an unconscious baby into a safe position (the ‘Recovery Position’).
  • First aid for choking in the first year of life.
  • Fever in children under the age of 1 – what to do, what not to do.
  • Recognising meningitis and sepsis and how to respond.
  • Febrile seizures – why they can happen and what to do.
  • Sudden infant death syndrome – what we know and how to reduce the risk.

This course is delivered both online and face-to-face in one of our training locations throughout Switzerland. Choose which way of learning is most suitable to your needs.

Course fees include a Resuscitation Key Ring per registration, providing quick and easy access to a Resuscitation Face Shield for your protection when providing CPR.

For online courses, fees also include an inflatable Mini Anne Global Laerdal manikin for participants to use during the training, allowing them to practise skills learnt. This is then theirs to keep.

I would definitely recommend Health First and will use them again.

“I was a little apprehensive about doing a first aid course via Zoom, however, it worked so well. The trainer, Nurse Polly, was excellent. Very clear and precise and she kept it very interesting and under control without deviations.”

Julie Ann Thompson

We would highly recommend this course to parents and grandparents alike.

“We received online First Aid training in CPR, and dealing with unconsciousness and choking for babies up to the age of one, to help us to deal with emergencies that may arise while looking after our grandchildren. The course has given us much more confidence in how to deal with emergencies.”

Robert Preston

Peace of mind

“I did a first aid course for babies when my first son was born. It was extremely useful, delivered in a very professional and engaging way with a really friendly coach. So important to have peace of mind that you know how to react in potentially life-saving situations. Highly recommend.”

Louise Linder

Fantastic

“I did a baby first aid course with HealthFirst which was just fantastic for giving memorable, sensible first aid advice in a fun, relaxed environment. I still refer to the handout from time to time, just to ensure I have it all still fresh in my mind. ”
