Whether you are staying in beautiful Switzerland for your holidays this Summer or you are travelling to more exotic climes, it is important that you consider your health before you go and also that you are prepared to deliver some basic First Aid whilst you are away if needed.

The Swiss website has lots of travel advice and information and is available in both French and German. It includes vaccinations and special precautions needed when travelling to various countries around the world it also has a list of travel medicine clinics in the different Swiss cantons where you can be vaccinated and get travel health advice.

If you need something in English, a good source is This is the Travelers’ Health section of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website.

I have also done some previous radio shows on World Radio Switzerland covering various Summer Health topics which may be on interest:

First Aid Kit for Summer and reducing your risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis

Beating jet lag and motion sickness while on the go
