Nurse Eric Cassell

RN BSN AMB-BC

Eric is a U.S. trained registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Arizona University. Before nursing, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in French and completed a two-year education program in secondary education. His previous career, working with people with developmental disabilities and brain injuries, inspired him to pursue nursing.

He began his nursing career in the Emergency Department at Kingman Regional Medical Center, followed by eight years in urgent and primary care at St. John’s Health in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he trained new employees and earned board certification in ambulatory care (AMB-BC).

In Jackson Hole, Eric was actively involved in the community, volunteering for a suicide prevention coalition and a substance abuse prevention group, and becoming certified in Healing Touch, which he was able to offer to patients and coworkers. Two years ago, he expanded his expertise by transitioning to PACU (the wake-up room) and endoscopy.

After nearly 20 years living at 1,800 meters, where recreating in the mountains became a part of daily life, Eric developed a healthy appreciation for nature’s role in well-being. Having obtained certification in avalanche rescue and becoming an avid backcountry skier, he learned how to manage risk in complicated environments.

As a Franco-American citizen, he relocated with his wife and daughter to the Pays de Gex in 2025 to be closer to family in Haute-Savoie. At HealthFirst, Eric looks forward to educating our local communities with the most up-to-date methods.
