Dr Mecky McNeil is responsible for our range of mental health seminars and trainings. She is a British-qualified General Practitioner (GP) graduating in 1994 and practising for many years in the UK, looking after patients with a range of psychiatric illnesses, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders and schizophrenia, as well as managing acute cases in the community, including caring for suicidal and acutely psychotic patients. Additionally, Mecky was a GP specialist in Cardiology
Focusing on health promotion and disease prevention, Mecky became a health coach in 2017 at the University of Cape Town Postgraduate Business School. In 2022, she completed her performance coaching certification with Hintsa Performance.
Mecky also works with Pro Mente Sana and is responsible for developing the Mental Health First Aid courses in English in Switzerland, leading the training and assessment of English-speaking ensa instructors in Switzerland.
In addition, Mecky is working with UNICEF and Z Zurich Foundation on a joint global project aimed at supporting young people’s mental health.
