What is mental well-being?

Our mental well-being influences our thoughts, feelings and actions and affects how we handle day-to-day ups and downs, relate to others, and make healthy choices.

Taking action to improve and strengthen this allows us to thrive, have a sense of purpose, build and maintain positive relationships and live and work productively.

At HeathFirst we know that mental and physical health are equally important and that better mental well-being is good for us all.  A society where everyone can talk openly about mental health and is able to seek support when they need it must be our collective aim.

Services for Corporate Clients

HealthFirst offers a variety of Mental Well-being workshops and seminars for companies and organisations. We help our clients strengthen their own mental well-being and resilience as well as empower them to support the mental health of others. 

Our variety of trainings include mental health awareness seminars, workshops for managers to support the mental health of their team, resilience building and stress management as well as burnout prevention and the importance of sleep.

Workshops for Schools

Supporting children and young people’s mental health will improve the well-being of the next generation. Our team of experienced doctors and nurses offers  workshops for young people covering a range of topics including mental health awareness and how to manage exam stress.

For teachers and support staff, we can train you to become Mental Health First Aiders, enabling you to  apply first aid to those in need.

ensa Mental Health First Aid Focus Adult

HealthFirst offers the internationally recognised ensa Mental Health First Aid course, available to anyone who wants to learn how to support family members, friends or colleagues experiencing mental health difficulties.

This well-validated, evidence-based and accredited training improves knowledge of mental illness, strengthens well-being and reduces stigma. The programme empowers and equips individuals with the skills and confidence to help those in need.

ensa Mental Health First Aid Focus Youth

The highly anticipated ensa Mental Health First Aid Focus Youth course is now available and details of the courses we are running can be found here. Aimed at parents and carers, teachers, club and group leaders, sports coaches and other support staff, this course will equip them with the knowledge and skills to recognise when a young person is struggling and empower them to offer support.

My HealthFirst

My HealthFirst is our programme for overall health improvement. It provides a FRESH approach to well-being, both physical and mental.  Whatever your goal - improving sleep, reducing stress, weight loss, or increasing your physical activity levels - talk to us and see how we can help. This programme can also be delivered in-house within companies and organisations as well as to clubs and groups.

Free Public Webinars

Giving back to the community is an important part of what we do at HealthFirst. Using our professional experience, we host regular live and interactive webinars covering mental or physical well-being topics. Recent events include a highly successful expert panel event for Movember, a Move for Mental Health webinar and most recently, we explored The Power of Human Connection.
