Introducing Nurse Cheryl Rooney-Ball, HealthFirst Senior Trainer

When did you start working for HealthFirst and what do you enjoy most about your job?

I have been with HealthFirst since March 2016.

What I enjoy most about my job is seeing people’s confidence grow in just a few hours, especially during a CPR training. It’s incredible to see the transformation as they practice the skills and realise they could take action in a real-life emergency, whether it’s to help a family member, a friend, or a stranger in the street.

What do you do when you are not working?

I love musical theatre (even though I can’t sing well) and GAOS has always been a part of my life both on stage and behind the scenes. I also enjoy swimming, skiing, spa days and more recently, spending time with my little granddaughter.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Chocolate! Preferably Migros Frey Milch Extra!

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Go with your gut instincts and believe in yourself. Travel when you can, there are so many beautiful sights right here on our doorstep. Relax and enjoy life.
