Learning CPR

18th November 2011

Yesterday, Dr Penny trained 8 teenagers from an international school in Geneva. It was a session full of serious concepts like how to recognise someone having a heart attack, how to make that important call to alert the emergency services (in English and in French). They learned and practised the techniques of good, effective CPR – how to assess for a response, give adequate chest compressions and rescue breaths.

People of ALL ages can learn how to save lives in this way – and they were still smiling and enthusiastic after nearly four hours of training! They were a pleasure to teach and you can see their smiles on our facebook page HealthFirst.
