HealthFirst Reflects on 2024: A Year of Impact and Collaboration

13th December 2024

As 2024 comes to a close, HealthFirst is proud to celebrate a year of meaningful partnerships and impactful work with communities, charities, and foundations. Our commitment to improving overall health and well-being has driven us to engage in diverse initiatives across Europe. Here are some highlights:

  • Chamonix Community work: In April, Dr Michelle and Dr Mecky supported a local mental health initiative in the Chamonix community in France, delivering a workshop to parents helping them support the young people in their lives.
  • EduFest: In May, Dr Michelle and Dr Mecky were honoured to contribute to Switzerland’s largest education festival at Le Rosey School, supporting schools and fostering learning, by delivering mental health workshops for adults and students.
  • Lupus Europe: In October, at the Lupus Europe Convention in Bratislava, they facilitated a session for around 50 national delegates equipping them with skills to hold empathetic conversations and they are excited to continue working with Lupus Europe into 2025.
  • UNICEF collaboration: During 2024, Dr Mecky continued work on the Connecting Generations Workshop, a programme co-created with UNICEF and the Z Zurich Foundation, piloting its final version at the Zurich Insurance headquarters in June.
  • Hintsa Performance: Dr Mecky was also involved in an initiative led by Hintsa Performance, creating a Mental Health Masterclass, with half of any proceeds generated from bookings by private individuals going to support children’s mental health charities.
  • ensa Mental Health First Aid: Continuing our collaboration with ensa Switzerland, Dr Mecky updated the ensa Youth Manual to its second edition, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the mental health of young people.
  • Riviera Rugby Club: We extended our expertise to support this dynamic sporting community by delivering physical first aid training.
  • Other NGOs and not-for-profit organisations: We also worked with numerous other groups and organisations delivering both physical first aid and mental health and well-being workshops.

These milestones reflect our dedication to building healthier, more resilient communities. We look forward to continuing this journey in 2025 and beyond.
