This face-to-face training is delivered by one of our expert team of ensa Mental Health First Aid instructors who are all experienced healthcare professionals. It is designed to refresh knowledge and re-certify Mental Health First Aiders who have already successfully completed an ensa Mental Health First Aid Focus Adult face-to-face course or webinar and whose Mental Health First Aider certificate is about to expire.
During the training, first aiders will
- Refresh and deepen their knowledge around mental health and mental illness.
- Receive updates on the latest research in Mental Health First Aid.
- Practise their skills in first aid situations through interactive group exercises and role plays using ROGER – the five steps of first aid.
- Exchange experiences with other first aiders.
4.5 hours, including breaks
Each participant will renew their ensa Mental Health First Aider certificate for a further 3 years on successful completion of a post-course written exam, managed on-line by ensa. This certificate is recognized internationally.
