This 4.5-hour refresher course gives first aiders the chance to update their knowledge, strengthen their practical skills, and exchange experiences with other participants. By successfully completing the short end of course exam, participants renew their ensa First Aid Certificate for another three years.
The course also includes an update on the latest research in mental health first aid and a review of key concepts around mental illness. Through interactive group activi-ties and role-play exercises, participants practice ROGER – the five steps of first aid – applying it to real-life situations that may arise when supporting young people.
Course duration:
Online courses are 4.5 hours long, face-to-face courses are 5 hours.
Further prerequisite:
Holder of an ensa First Aider certificate focus youth
Course certification:
After a short test, successful participants will receive a renewed ensa Mental Health First Aider certificate (valid for three years).
