To mark World Stroke Day 2023, Dr Michelle speaks with stroke survivor Stacie Broeke about the events leading up to her stroke 4 years ago and the recovery journey she has been on since then.

Describing herself as “author, blogger, stroke survivor, overachiever, mother of 3 & invisible disabilities advocate”, Stacie had a stroke in February 2019 and has since become a stroke ambassador, working with the World Stroke Organization.

In the first of two interviews, Dr Michelle and Stacie discuss the events leading up to her stroke and her subsequent recovery.
